Director Ogata seems awfully gloomy. The whole cast is waiting for the press conference announcing the new drama to start and everybody wonders what's wrong with Ogata. Some of the senior stuff wonder if it's "that."
Kyoko tries to cheer him up but it doesn't seem to work. She then notices Ren is very thoughtful too.
Kyoko wonders if he's nervous but then retracts her words at his expression. He later says that he might be nervous after all, since trying to do an original version is a big thing.
Ren then asks her how she plans on portraying her character, which leaves her worried about it.
Meanwhile at Queen Records, Haruki Asami watches the broadcast live on TV. She is relieved to see that Hiroaki is calm and confident. She addresses him using his first name so it can be presumed that they know each other.
The conference starts and it progresses smoothly. Even Ogata seems back to his normal self and Kyoko thinks she worried for nothing. But then just at the end, a reporter has a last question... apparently the director of the original adaptation was Ogata's father, but Ogata changed his name for this production, why?
Asami freezes in shock, as do some of the actors on stage for they didn't know this. Haruki is immediately concerned for this question is taboo! Ogata stammers, trying to answer but is overwhelmed and faints on the stage.
He wakes up in the hospital after remembering people's comments about him being a copy of his father. Kyoko and Asami are there. Asami and Ogata offer to treat her to dinner for waiting with him at the hospital. Kyoko starts to refuse but then Asami threatens to tell Sho the new number Kyoko gave her. Asami tells Kyoko that she can update Ren on the Director's condition which she does while remembering Asami's explanation for Ogata's stress. That he changed his name so he could escape his father's influence and make a big hit without people contributing it to his father's fame.
After a strained dinner, Kyoko decides to give her very best and starts to read her dialogue.
